Our 9 favourite High Designer Heels
After seeing L’Amour Fou in 2012, it’s the movie we’ve all been waiting for: ‘Yves Saint Laurent’.
The French film – directed by Jalil Lespert – promises to give us an in-depth look at the late designer’s life, career and relationship with business and life partner Pierre Bergé, while also capturing the dying days of the elite formal couture houses before bursting into the hedonism of modern global fashion brands.
And just to get us even more anxious, they have released a little clip which shows the late designer at work at Dior, where he got his start in his 20’s. Many of the costumes in the film are original pieces deigned by Saint Laurent, and combined with the poster this film must be one of the most visually sumptuous films of the year.
Save the date girls: in Dutch theatres from April 10th. [EH]
She was on the last cover of Vogue in 2013, and she will be the first face in 2014 for Yves Saint Laurent.
We are talking about Jessica Chastain, the gorgeous ginger we’ve come to know through movies such as Zero Dark Thirty and The Three of Life.
As the face of Yves Saint Laurent’s Manifesto L’Eclat Fragrance, Chastain’s new ads shot by Merc and Marcus, recently hit the web. The actress was the face of Manifesto fragrance as well, but this season’s campaign is styled much more provocatively, with a barely-there dress by Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent.
If this is any indication of what the rest of her “jobs” in 2014 will look like, consider the next year an exciting one. [EH]
